I do enjoy my time off work, and Christmas was no exception. Unfortunately, IBS became a thing in my life. And so Christmas wasn’t my usual week of feasting. Instead, I learnt all about the gut biome, what foods may trigger symptoms, and what naughty foods I could eat over the festive season. I also spent time walking Pacha, resting and reading. Plus Louise and I enjoyed a lovely short break in York.
I really only had a week and a bit off in the end, as last week was spent cooking lots of stock for the freezer, and this week I’m cooking up lots of fresh curries for our first menu of 2024. Before Christmas I posted on social media when we were shutting, and when we would re-open. I also sent out a newsletter with the same information. But I did forget to post anything on our website. I believe a few people did try visiting the deli last week only to find us closed, so my apologies to you. I really did my best to inform everyone, but by completely overlooking the website I fear I may have put some people out.
Anyway, we’re back now, and have an awesome menu to start the year with. I hope you all find something you like and please look out for a few new dishes this week that I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
