Mushroom & Lentil Pate

I started trading at farmer’s markets in 2014, and back then all I sold was vegetarian curries and extra items such as cultured dairy-free cheese, seed crackers, and this delicious Mushroom and lentil Pate. The extras I sold were wholesome, healthy, and plant-based. I now eat meat, but I still love plant-based cooking. I thought this lovely pate would make a nice addition as we approach Christmas and give my customers something new to try.

This pate combines mushrooms, green lentils, and walnuts. Butter adds richness, while the fresh herbs, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and brandy, offer extra depth of flavour. The pate is smooth and rich and makes a lovely meat-free alternative.

This pate is not available to order online just yet as I hope to make it Friday morning and the menu has closed by then. But please do let me know if you are interested in trying some, they may be ready late Friday, and I’ll have some with me at Beccles Farmer’s Market on Saturday, December 7th.
