Whenever there’s a fifth weekend there are normally no markets. And when these rare weekends become available I like to go somewhere with Louise and my dog. This coming weekend is no exception because several months ago I booked a weekend away in a little cottage in North Norfolk. With dog walks on our doorstep, a hot tub to relax in, pubs nearby, and Holt Sunday Market just up the road, this is the perfect place to rest before the Christmas rush.
Unfortunately, I was unaware that the Worsted Farmer’s Market is held on the last Saturday of the month, not the fourth. So last Saturday I turned up at Worsted only to find the farm gates closed. And as my North Norfolk short break was booked and paid for months ago, I’m sorry to say I won’t be at Worsted farmer’s Market this Saturday.
My apologies to my customers who were expecting me this weekend. Several have already contacted me and are collecting at the deli instead. I’m not sure when I’ll be back at Worsted. In March, I think. So I’ll keep you all posted via Facebook and my blog.
On Saturday my friend Kathryn is covering deliveries. And I’ll be closing the deli at 5 pm sharp on Friday so we can make it to the cottage in good time. On Monday I’ll be back planning the final three menus before Christmas, as I’m very much looking forward to the final few weeks of trading in 2024.
